Satisfied Customers - Total Support
The Business Design Centre (BDC) - Islington
In 2003, The BDC had a very troublesome IT installation. The servers needed restarting on almost a daily basis, PC's did not work, and users would wait days for support from the IT manager.
The business really struggled with IT and user morale was low.
In early 2004, IT Support Desk was commissioned to help, immediately updating all the servers and implementing a back office support agreement whereby IT Support Desk looked after the servers and the Business Design Centre carried on looking after the network and the users. By 2005, when The Business Design Centre decided it would be more cost-effective and efficient to out-source all their internal IT the natural choice was IT Support Desk.
Since then, working within strict budgetary controls, IT Support Desk has introduced a new, resilient network, a standard desktop design for all PC's, an annually tested Disaster recovery service, a data vault and a tape backup system, anti-virus and anti spam systems, software license compliance, an IT inventory, mobile e-mail services and many other improvements.
From a costly IT infrastructure that was failing to meet a 70% availability target and causing daily frustration to users, IT Support Desk Total Support is now delivering 99.85% availability - which translates into smooth running, trouble-free service capability for one of the Britain's most iconic business and exhibition venues.
And we're pleased to report the satisfaction continues. In 2008, the BDC signed a 3 year agreement with IT Support Desk, proving their faith in our service.
