Office 365 is Becoming Microsoft 365

Microsoft is renowned for its occasional brand changes like Bing Ads being rebranded as Microsoft Advertising. Now Office 365 is becoming Microsoft 365.

For you observant readers, you’ll know that Office 365 (Once just Microsoft Office) became Microsoft 365 quite a few years ago. However, in an announcement from the Redmond software giant, there’s a full rebrand and brand refresh for the Office.com website home.

The old red/orange squared-off but incomplete “O” for Office has morphed into a blue/purple endless mobius strip.

In its official announcement, Microsoft said:

Over the last couple years, Microsoft 365 has evolved into our flagship productivity suite, so we are creating an experience to help you get the most out of Microsoft 365. In the coming months, Office.com, the Office mobile app, and the Office app for Windows will become the Microsoft 365 app, with a new icon, a new look, and even more features.

As the software behemoth states, it isn’t just adding a lick of paint with its shiny new logo. There’s a drive to add more features for users and a real push from Microsoft to make all apps accessible, from desktop or mobile. Microsoft 365 boasts ease of creation to help firms produce more professional content, and greater collaboration between colleagues.

The old Office favourites are all there – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with MS Teams, and Drive plus all the SharePoint collaborative workspaces too.
